Reports coming out of Edmonton will have the defending CIAU (and sometimes ‘Y’) Hockey Champion the Alberta Golden taking on the Edmonton Oilers rookies at Rexall Place.
Connon McDavid Leads Oiler Rookies Against Golden Bears
The game had to be moved from the U of A campus to Rexall Center because of the fan interest in seeing the new back up goalie for the Golden Bears……..okay…okay……..to see Connor McDavid.
It just shows you how much interest there is in the City of Champions (they took down the sign!) now that they got the best player in a generation. Things seem to be going in the right direction.
And in other news the Buffalo Sabres opened up the First Niagara Center for some free sessions offered up by their legal counsel who will speak to some of the things that can get young players in trouble.
Free coffee and Timbits were available to guests.
