Looks like the NFL had a change of heart when it came to SuperBowL..L.L.
They decided to switch from the Roman Numerals to the number 50.

So much for their Gladiator-esque branding efforts.
It’s understandable however, as a L4 year-old myself, I think it’s not a good idea to be hide-bound by traditions especially in situations where at a Double L at the end of SuperBowlL makes it look like you accidentally slipped in another L into the name. The only thing worse would be slipping in that extra ‘P’.

Some of the teams were understandably upset while others liked it.
” Yes……..actually I did have the guys deflate XIII footballs” said Tom Brady to unsuspecting reporters.
“The San Francisco XILXers protest this move vehemently” said the team PR Director, Malcolm 10.
“We are not sure where to go with this now” said Sally Henderson PR spokeswoman for the Bufallo BI5050s
“I think its a great move” said Robert Griffin 3 , as he tried to sneak back into the Redskins starting line up.
The NFL issued a Press Release on the change and sent a link to each of the teams.

League Commissioner Roger Goodell was unavailable for comment as he was dealing with a controversy where a New England Patriots football player had recently appeared in a 101010 movie.
